Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Neighbours platform (the "Service"), operated by FunLovers Tech ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

Neighbours is a private communication and community-management platform for residential buildings and property-management companies. It provides announcements, events, amenity bookings, a sharing board, and resident directories, all scoped to a single building. Access to a building's content is restricted to verified residents of that building.

You must be invited to join a building using a unique invite code provided by your property manager or building administrator. You agree to provide accurate information when registering, including your name and email address, and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Invite codes are non-transferable and may be revoked at any time.

You are solely responsible for any content you post, including announcements, events, shared items, messages, and community posts. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms and to suspend or terminate accounts engaged in misconduct.

The Service may integrate with third-party services (for example, email and file-storage providers) to deliver core features. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Your name, email, and unit number may be visible to other verified residents of your building and to your building administrator. Property managers receive aggregate information about their buildings. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Neighbours may be offered to property managers on a subscription or trial basis. Fees, billing cycles, and plan features are communicated separately at the time of subscription. Residents are not charged to use the Service. We may change our fees on reasonable notice.

The Service, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by FunLovers Tech and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of the content you post; by posting it, you grant us a license to display it within the Service to members of your building.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any announcement, booking, or communication will be accurate or delivered on time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FunLovers Tech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve (12) months, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100), whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold FunLovers Tech harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your content or your violation of these Terms.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. Building administrators may remove residents from their building. Upon termination, your content may be removed from the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms.
